Ted Cruz: President Obama Should Spend Less Time Golfing, More Time Leading
Breitbart ^ | 9 Aug 2014 | Charlie Spiering

Speaking to reporters after his speech at the Iowa state fair, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) criticized President Obama for failing to demonstrate leadership -- even though he had begun airstrikes in Iraq.

“Airstrikes could well make sense, to degrade the lethality of ISIS if they are directed towards accomplishing a concrete defined military objective that furthers U.S. national security interests,” Cruz said. “What is missing right now is the Commander-in-Chief laying out a strategic vision.”

Cruz called for a vision and moral leadership that he explained could only come from the president.

“The president unfortunately is an absentee president,” Cruz said, pointing out that Obama visited to Texas for fundraisers, but refused to visit the border.

“I think the President should actually stand up and do his job as commander in chief, should spend less time on the golf course and more time doing the job to which he was elected,” Obama said.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Cruz is just giving voice to what many of us have been saying for the longest time.

While we’re at it, tell Moochele to quit spending tens of millions of tax payer money on useless foreign vacations.

The Japanese are reporting this as a top story on my LINE News account.

Cruz’ criticism of Obama’s golfing is the headline.

No he shouldn’t. How much more damage could he do if he took his job seriously?

Au contraire, the nation would be better served if Obama spent ALL the time golfing.

Our allies must be as starved for world leadership as we are for our country

I think the good senator’s timing is as usual on target

Did you notice that Obama ran out on his “family” vacation within 30 minutes of his arrival in Martha’s Vineyard to play golf but he was over an hour late for the press conference the other day. Can’t hold up Ahmad Rashad !

As much as I love Cruz, put me down as a “me too” with the chorus who want Obama golfing because he does far less damage there than when he attempts to govern.
