Feinstein Warns of Risk of ISIL Attack on America, Says Must Be Confronted
Roll Call ^ | Aug. 8, 2014 | Niels Lesniewski

Senate Intelligence Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein warned Friday of the risk that the insurgent group ISIL could be preparing fighters to attack American and European targets.

“It has become clear that ISIL is recruiting fighters in Western countries, training them to fight its battles in the Middle East and possibly returning them to European and American cities to attack us in our backyard,” the California Democrat said in a statement backing military action authorized by President Barack Obama. “We simply cannot allow this to happen.”

Feinstein called for a broader military campaign against ISIL, not just the targeted missions authorized by the president.

“It takes an army to defeat an army, and I believe that we either confront ISIL now or we will be forced to deal with an even stronger enemy in the future. Inaction is no longer an option. I support actions by the administration to coordinate efforts with Iraq and other allies to use our military strength and targeting expertise to the fullest extent possible,” Feinstein said.

I'd be interested to know what Feinstein's position was when 0 pulled the troops out of Iraq. If any Freepers could dig up some data on that it would be greatly appreciated. These Dems are for the war before they were against it before they were for it.

I suppose she see the handwriting on the wall and does not like it. However, she needs to fight to shut that border of our in the south or one day she will become acquainted with ISIS members here in the US.

The senile old crab cannot see the connection between an ISIS style attack in the U.S. and an unsecured border.

My, my. It looks like the people who pull the strings are frightened by what they have wrought.

It’s code for “must be killed.” She can’t say that, though, or she will loose the leftard dweeb-weenie vote, and that’s her base.

Hmm. More unintended negative consequences of lib/prog shenanigans.

They don’t seem to now like the bed they’ve made.

What was that estimate Rick Perry threw out on the number of illegal border crossers who were Middle Eastern and not Hispanic?

Iirc it was in the thousands.

How about shutting down the border and keeping the right to bear arms. I smell some more selective redistribution of death refugge BS.

Just reading the headline- the democrats, culture and the media, have so marginalized the republicans and the republicans have obliged, acting wimpy except in the cases where they must act in keeping with their masters’ (the lobbyists and the associated Chamber of Commerce), that the democrats must do the work now of protecting the country.

If the democrats could say, as per usual, ‘we COULD save those 40,000 people and in the meantime prevent it from happening to us in the future, but the republicans won’t let us’, but they cold not possibly get that over.

First place anyone of them with enough wits and sobriety to match Feintstein, can figure out from their security briefs that she’s right.

All the defense activity will come from democrats. They hate that. Interesting.

(like that term!)

DiFi, that senile old crab, can’t see the connection between defending our nation against Islamofascist savages and the individual right to bear arms. Blind as a bat.

If ISIS operatives start sowing murder inside the U.S., then there needs to be an “infidel” rifle behind every blade of grass, as our enemy Yamamoto foresaw.

Rifles loaded with bullets dipped in pig grease.

Governor Perry may have said that, but I can't find the specific quote yet. Here is one from an article regarding the threat though.

"Muslim terrorists from Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia – thousands of them – are travelling to Mexico, learning to speak Spanish, and coming across the Arizona and Texas Border."

Obama Refuses To Secure The Border To Allow Islamic Terrorists Entry Into U.S.
