EPA wallows in corruption
Columbia Daily Tribune ^ | August 9, 2014 | By MICHELLE MALKIN

The lofty motto of the Environmental Protection Agency is “protecting people and the environment.” In practice, however, EPA bureaucrats faithfully protect their own people and preserve the government’s cesspool of manipulation, cover-ups and cronyism.

Just last month, Mark Levin and his vigilant Landmark Legal Foundation went to court to ask federal district Judge Royce Lamberth to sanction the EPA “for destroying or failing to preserve emails and text messages that may have helped document suspected agency efforts to influence the 2012 presidential election.” The motion is part of a larger Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit to force the EPA to release emails and related records from former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and others “who may have delayed the release dates for hot-button environmental regulations until after the Nov. 6, 2012, presidential election.”

Thanks to Levin and Landmark, Jackson and other EPA officials admitted in depositions that they used personal, nongovernmental email accounts to hide communications about official EPA business sent and received on their government-issued BlackBerries and smartphones.

Levin minced no words: “The EPA is a toxic waste dump for lawlessness and disdain for the Constitution.” Not to mention disdain for the public’s right to know. As Levin added: “When any federal agency receives a FOIA request, the statute says it must preserve every significant repository of records, both paper and electronic, that may contain materials that could be responsive to that request.”

Saving the planet? Ha. The leftist-controlled Environmental Corruption Agency is in business only to serve its pals and subvert its political enemies while endangering resource security and sabotaging the deliberative process. Real environmental protection starts with draining this fetid swamp.

One of the roots of such wasteful, foolish, thuggish, and tyrannous government is the ease with which it can create almost unlimited amounts of money out of thin air. Near-infinite money buys near-infinite government, and a bureaucracy that is generously funded can entertain an open-ended dream about how to expand its realm.

Every day more people are coming to the judgment that a carefully organized effort to repair the constitution via the States’ power to propose and ratify amendments has less risk to our liberty and prosperity than the present trajectory of the federal government and especially the federal bureaucracy.

The first order of business of an Article V Convention must be to limit government’s ability to create and spend near-infinite amounts of money.

Perhaps the saddest part of this is that we meekly tolerate this BS and whine “there is nothing we can do about it”.

"...meekly tolerate this BS and whine “there is nothing we can do about it”."

Well, brother, with a complicit Judiciary, and complicit Republican House and Rino-Machine, the only thing we can really "do" about it is the dreaded "Plan B".
Once across the Rubicon there can be no turning back....

I cannot name one ( 1 ) department in the Imperial Federal Government that is not rife with corruption. Not a single one. The sad part is, there is no downside for them (our rulers). Did Carol Browner go to jail? Pay a fine? Bill Clinton? Lois Learner? Eric Shinseki? Eric Holder? Naa.
Typical of a corrupt banana republic, there is no penalty for malfeasance or corruption. Not until the revolution. The revolution that for sure is coming.

The constitution needs to be ammended to prohibit ALL federal agencies except the defense department.

All functions of them, if truly needed, should revert to the states with Zero contribution monetarily from the Feds and zero taxes collected by the Feds for such purposes.

This is the way they meddle and corrupt the process! Namely, they worm their way into providing Fed tax dollars to various pet projects so they can maintain influence.

Also, an OBJECTIVE set of criteria for hiring the top 100 people in any State Agency Needs to be developed AND IMPLEMENTED!

I have a news flash. Every agency of the United States government is corrupt from the top down. Its pay to play all over the bureaucracy. Unless or until some of these rogue agencies are shut down nothing will change. The corruption runs too deep to fix.
