Young Americans take a dim view of Israel’s actions

The United States is a politically polarized country. But when it comes to views of what's happening in Israel, partisanship has nothing on age.

A new Pew Research Center poll is the second in the past week to show a huge generational split on the current conflict in Gaza. While all age groups north of 30 years old clearly blame Hamas more than Israel for the current violence, young adults buck the trend in a big way. Among 18 to 29-year olds, 29 percent blame Israel more for the current wave of violence, while 21 percent blame Hamas.

Young people are more likely to blame Israel than are Democrats, who blame Hamas more by a 29-26 margin. Even liberal Democrats are split 30-30. The only other major demographic groups who blame Israel more than Hamas are African Americans and Hispanics.

correct ; Many young Americans have a dim view

Only those that serve in the U.S. Armed Forces should be allowed to vote

Reinstate the draft - 5 million + U.S. troops under arms

It’s time to extinguish radical islam once and for all .
Forever

18 year olds today were 5 when the towers hit. Their parents told them “Not all muslims are bad. And all muslims must be respected.” Now ALL muslims are good and anyone who kills them is bad.

Of course the 'young' are more likely to be tough on Israel - its obvious to anyone who understands today's campus environment.

Overall Americans support Israel over the muslim terrorists. But the MSM will have their headline.

That’s because anti-sematism is POPULAR among kids and young adults. It’s culturally POPULAR.

Just try it. Walk up to anyone who went through the public school system and just ask them what the first thing that comes to mind when you say “Israel” then try “Jew”... You won’t BELIEVE the filth that will come out of their mouths.

The worst part is, it’s a conditioned automatic response. They’ve never even MET an Israeli or a Jew and they don’t know JACK about any politics let alone the complex issues of the middle east where they couldn’t even put a pin on Israel or Gaza.

Kids today are self reinforcing hatred of Jews through common casual dialog. It’s sick. And other than it being spiritual and our of our control there is no way it should be happening at all. Neither the Christian population nor the secular population should be allowing it. But there it is.

It’s quite amazing that terrorist groups garner so much support, given that atrocities are their normal actiivies. They are simply held to a much lower standard, even by the supposedly informed.

Once the young leave the campuses, and schools. They get a un-adultered totally oppositve view of the world than what they were taught. They aren’t prepared very well, but most learn that everything they were taught was a lie. That’s why young liberals turn into conservatives as time goes on.

Young Americans take a dim view? That’s because young Americans know no history.

Most young people don’t pay attention to what’s going on. What’s the point in asking this group. May and well ask 3 year olds what they think of the constitution

I grew up going to church and therefore learning about Israel. The vast majority of Christians support Israel. Not many kids grow up in church these days.

Ha! Thanks to our institutions of learning, the average millennial knows more about “climate change” than the US Constitution or the history of Israel.

Much of today’s youth are not interested in worldly events, just the latest smart phone, the latest records and dumb computer games. Those that are, have been sooooooo brainwashed by their liberal teachers and professors, they have no idea what Israel has been subjected to for many years. Best to round up thousands of them, put them on planes to Israel and let them sleep in the desert sands with rockets falling all around them for a while, maybe then they will “see the light”.

Neither the Christian population nor the secular population should be allowing it.

The "secular" (humanist) population teachers aka educRATs are National Socialists. Why wouldn't they allow it...or even spread it?

You got it.

As the saying goes, “when you are 20 and is not a liberal, you have no heart. When you are 40 and you are not a conservative, you have no brain.”
