I am ending my campaign so that I can focus on fulfilling the responsibility entrusted to me as your U.S. senator, Walsh said in a statement to supporters. You deserve someone who will always fight for Montana, and I will.
Did Walsh write that statement himself, or did he copy it from someone else..just saying

“”If they can find a candidate.”””
I bet it’s a woman.

I’m sure they will find a Federal Judge who thinks so.

The New York Times reported July 23 that Walsh had plagiarized large portions of the research paper in 2007.

They better find somebody to the right of Daines, then. He’s up over 10 pts and it’s his to lose and that’s with a Libertarian candidate in the race.

I am sure the Dems will come up with somebody. The Libertarian vote always costs the Rep, so the Dems have a shot.

I think the Democrat women in MT were unhappy that Walsh was appointed to the Senate. This might open up a battle between the old-time Butte Democrats and the lesbian liberals in MT.

They can’t run Schweitzer after he called Dianne Feinstein a whore.

Walsh will serve out the rest of his Senate term, which ends in early January 2015.
Anything to cling to power as long as possible and deny a replacement a jump on seniority . .
That's what the paper says, but Walsh may not have thought out whether he's going to hang on to the very last day yet.

I see the race mentioned above has a Libertarian on the ballot, trying to screw up the Republican's chances once again.
Same old story.
....and so many freepers just LUV those feisty, free-spirited, pot-puffin' Libertarians and their boyish, cutey-pie frontman, John Stossell.....completely forgetting, for example how Ross Perot (not a Libertarian, just a billionaire spoiler) drained off votes, money and energy from GHWB....and we got the pervert liar, Bubba Clinton for 8 years.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.

Insulting those workers by comparing them to Feinstein was not bright. Schweitzer certainly put foot in mouth.

So instead of admitting his wrongdoing and apologizing, he dismisses it as a distraction. He’s seems qualified for the Senate to me. He’ll fit right in with the other crooks.
