Yes, in Kazakhstan they eat horses. They even have a beer made out of fermented horse milk.

I wouldn't exactly call kumys beer... more of a "sparkling", watery buttermilk. More medicinal than beverage, but then I say the same thing about vodka ;-)

I never could get into konina - that canary yellow fat just doesn't appeal.
