For those puzzled by the recent thrusts and feints on our border crisis, here is a helpful primer: Related Stories
Democrats blame the urgent humanitarian crisis at our border on an obscure 2008 sex trafficking bill. But, they refuse to change the bill.
President Obamas DACA order in 2012, protecting young people here illegally against deportation, summoned tens of thousands of migrant children from Central America. To solve the problem, the White House wants to open the door even wider by offering asylum to people from that region.
House Republicans passed a bill giving President Obama funds to manage the flood of immigrant minors and his requested expansion of deportation capability; Harry Reids Senate refused to take up the legislation.
President Obama accuses Republicans of creating the border disaster by failing to pass comprehensive immigration reform. The reform bill passed earlier this year by the Senate would not have prevented the flood of unaccompanied minors from Central America, or provided any solution to the problem.
Notwithstanding the calamitous consequences of the DACA, President Obama is threatening to provide amnesty by executive order for some portion of the 11 million illegal immigrants currently in our country. That will not, of course, fix the border crisis.
President Obama got so mad about the whole mess that he stalked off to play golf.
That pretty much sums up President Obamas phony bleating about immigration. What we are seeing is a replay of 2012, when sinking approval ratings from Hispanic voters and a tight reelection race pushed the president to unilaterally create the mini-Dream Act, or the DACA. Today, the Senate is up for grabs, and in a number of contested states, Latino voters may well prove critical.

IMO as long as the GOP holds there will be no amnesty this year, and probably for the rest of the kenyan kommie's term.
Blah Blah Blah
The real reason his Blackness wants Amnesty is the illegals are all non-white and he’s a damn racist.
The intent is to destroy the white majority in the United States and create a violent and menacing underclass who will always threaten the whites, which can be used to extract tribute.
Which will of course be used to re-distribute the cash to the “deserving”, of whom the most deserving will be Community Organizers, NGO CEO’s, and demogogues of the Left.
“Obamas play here is simple. It comes down, as ever, to politics and polls. The GOP needs to win a net six seats to take control of the Senate. First, they must defend their seats in Georgia and Kentucky. While Mitch McConnell should ride Obamas anti-coal program to victory in Kentucky, the race in Georgia between Republican David Perdue and Dem Michelle Nunn is tight.”
“Now you know why Obama may enact a broader amnesty program via executive order. He wants to keep the Senate in Democrat hands and not spend the next two years lamely quacking. But, President Obamas approval ratings on how hes handling the immigration crisis are deep in negative territory. More Americans now trust the GOP on the issue, a sharp turnaround from three months ago.”
Make sure you read the whole article until the end.
I am still stunned by that article that was posted here yesterday about the so called “dreamer” who whined to Rep. King that she is here in America only because her mother came here to “escape an abusive relationship” in Mehico. ROTFL!!! What a crock. She’s going to make a “great American”. A liar.
No sale.
He won’t be quacking, he’ll be using his pen, with the assistance of the GOP led Chamber of Commerce, or with just their continued do nothing enabling.
No
Article lost me at this point.
There is no doubt the Dems want GOP buy-in for an amnesty. They could have had one the first two years of Obama's reign.
However, make no mistake about it. Obama is doing a piecemeal amnesty. Over 560,000 DACA applicants have been legalized with work permits, SSNs, and the ability to travel from and to the US. The approval rate is 99.5%. There are an estimated 1.8 million eligible for DACA. Moreover, according to the E.O., the illegal parents of those applying will be insulated from removal.
The GOP's muted reaction to DACA has set the stage for the next phase. In fact, many Reps expressed approval of the action, but didn't like the way it was done. Eric Cantor was preparing his own version of DACA.
The next EO will cover up to 6 million who will receive work permits, SSNs, and the ability to travel outside the country. Does anyone really think that the DACA recipients will have their legalization revoked? Or those receiving the coming E.O. amnesty?
Whatever political motivations are driving Obama's actions, we shouldn't lose sight of the new reality he is creating. There will be a de facto amnesty in a few weeks. It will create a constitutional crisis that cannot be ignored. I fear that we will just get rhetoric from the GOPe, which has already taken impeachment off of the table. I heard just the other evening Will and Krauthammer saying that it shouldn't be done that way even though they favor legalization of the 12 million. They are laying the predicate for another GOP cave-in. And Obama will have another amnesty.

Rush was excellent yesterday .... followed up on the questions from Ed Henry(?) to Josh(ing) (not)Earnest at the press briefing the other day as to why, when Obola had the House, Senate and of course the WH all in Dem hands, did he not do anything on immigration?
Good points, all. But the real reason has always been that amnesty for 10 million illegal immigrants will - most certainly - lead to a fast-tracked citizenship path. And then, Democrats will have 10 million more voters with their hands out in Texas, Arizona, and across the US.
THAT is the brass ring.
The use of "children" is always part of the Dem strategy. You won't hear in the MSM that 84% of the "children" coming across the border are teenagers and mostly males. Or that two-thirds of the "children" are accompanied by a parent.
Statistics posted online by the Department of Homeland Securitys (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) show that the number of family units apprehended at the U.S. border with Mexico has risen from 9,350 in 2013 to 55,420 in 2014 an increase of 493 percent.
A spokesperson for the CBP told CNSNews.com that a family unit for the purposes of this set of statistics is a parent traveling with a child, and that the 55,420 total includes all adults and children who have been apprehended and categorized as a family unit.
Can’t disagree. It’s his family MO.
That we’ve come to this makes me very sad. That most conservatives can’t/won’t speak out, engage, contribute, volunteer, community organize, etc. makes me mad.
Pure Spite ,Obama is teaching all you voters a lesson
They have to get them somewhere because they aborted themselves out of existence
I get so sick of constantly seeing and hearing this totally false number from in the news and from commentators.
The numbers are more likely 2-3 times that. This "11 million" figure is from an estimate years ago - and we all know what has happened over the years since. The inflow has increased, not stopped.
Yep, I believe you are correct.
I live in the upper midwest and see a lot of Hispanics - a lot. If it really were only 11 million illegals then they would be spread very thin and not such large concentrations in northern parts of the country as well as everywhere else. I’ll bet the real total is somewhere between 30 and 50 million.
Wonder if the citizen Hispanic voters are stupid enough to push and vote for amnesty and Dream that will destroy their own and their children’s future?
Most I know are not that “more Hispanic than American”. But stupid is pretty hard to overcome when La Raza and Univision are out there with megaphones.
Amnesty for illegal aliens may mean he can stay in USA after he leaves the WH (assuming he does)
Racial tribalism, as primitive as it is, is an attractive lure. And its tearing apart the best system of government ever contrived by God and man.
Obama wants immigrants for the same reason that JFK devoted so much of his life to getting the 1965 Immigration Act passed, to replace the Americans with a more pliant voter, and a customer for the government programs.
