The Libertarian and Constitutions parties should merge.

Concessions must be made. The LP should recognize that national security, being pro-life, and stopping the illegal invasion are non-negotiable issues. The CP must realize that most people aren't bible-thumpers and simply want to be left alone. Social issues, such as marriage and marijuana, should be decided by the states, not by Washington.

Once these differences are ironed out, the new party should simply call itself the New Constitution Party, and they would attract a huge cross-section of voters.

It’s an interesting proposal.

I left the Libs because of their position that Iran has a right to develop nuclear weapons and their support of right to kill your unborn child. Deal breakers for me.

Many libs are absolutists and so sure they are correct, and in many things I agree. I went years with my vote being part of 1%. Libs are tough to get to compromise.

The current “Constitution Party” is anything but hawkish on national security. It pretty much follows the line of the John Birch Society, which is now referring to grass roots supporters of our troops as “red state fascists” and is now calling on people to stop supporting the troops altogether.
