They are finally done counting in Washington State, former Microsoft exec Pedro Celis (R) advances to the general election against rat freshman Suzan (yes, with a z) DelBene in CD 1.
Celis narrowly prevailed over penniless “Libertarian minded” Republican Robert Sutherland, who led Celis for most of the count. DelBene placed first in the primary with 50.67%.
Great news, we now have a chance at winning the seat.
That *is* great news. May I assume that Sutherland, being penniless, won’t pay for a recount?
Our odds of winning with Celis probably are no higher than 10-15%, but with Sutherland they would be maybe 1%.
A recount doesn’t appear to be in the cards, no.
