This Link to the Library of Congress says the date was Sept. 11, 1776 when Congress voted to purchase Bibles, however, the journal is dated Sept. 12. (Great Library of Congress link to 'Religion and the Founding of the American Republic')

Maybe the LOC is wrong on the date, typo?

I am not sure where you see the dates, because the year you posted isn’t correct. I don’t see any dates on LOC. I may not be looking in the right place though.

Here is a good quote from the LOC link you provide:
