If leftists understood what they are REALLY supporting a large percentage of them would not BE leftists. Those who would be leftists anyway probably DO understand exactly what they are supporting and are benefitting in some way by supporting it.

A very good neurosurgeon who operated on my wife recently told her that she would be one of his last patients because he was retiring rather than submit to the requirements of digital filekeeping. Strangely enough, when Obamacare was mentioned, he defended it, saying that it had made it possible for his 34 year old son to obtain health insurance that he could afford and that the recordkeeping was NOT part of Obamacare. His staff said that as great as he is as a surgeon he just does not understand what is going on with Obamacare, they deal with it for him so he doesn’t even realize that Obamacare is the thing causing him to retire before he says he would have otherwise.
If you think of all the staff the doctor must pay, nurses, clerks, house maintenance and the like, plus the cost of malpractice insurance, equipment and supplies, building and office space lease or mortgage, and its insurance, then the costs become more clear................
You spoiled rich doctors shut up and take your Obamacare. It’s not fair you’re a wealthy millionaire 1%er driving around in Mercedes and flying in your corporate jets. You OWE it to work for free and write off your 12 years of education to pay for your greed.

It will be interesting to see what happens in Canada where a lot of people come here for medical services.
Private for-profit clinics are popping up where I live. You can see a doc for $60 cash. More expensive clinics are charging $80-$127 per visit. The market appears to be sorting out the problem here.

I wore this t-shirt to a visit to my local winery last weekend. The people who didn't like it, gave me a glare or two, but didn't say anything.
Those who liked it came over and offered their compliments.
I was having a helluva time getting an appointment with my eye doctor until I said "I don't have 0bamacare", then it was smooth sailing.
One of the proposed laws that would have been in the defunct ‘Hillary Care’ back in the 90’s was that it would have become ILLEGAL to pay or even offer a doctor money for services...................

Point Four. No new devices, inventions, products, or goods of any nature whatsoever, not now on the market, shall be produced, invented, manufactured or sold after the date of this directive. The Office of Patents and Copyrights is hereby suspended.
Point Five. Every establishment, concern, corporation or person engaged in production of any nature whatsoever shall henceforth produce the same amount of goods per year as it, they or he produced during the Basic Year, no more and no less. The year to be known as the Basic or Yardstick Year is to be the year ending on the date of this directive. Over or under production shall be fined, such fines to be determined by the Unification Board.
Point Six. Every person of any age, sex, class or income, shall henceforth spend the same amount of money on the purchase of goods per year as he or she spent during the Basic Year, no more and no less. Over or under purchasing shall be fined, such fines to be determined by the Unification Board.
Point Seven. All wages, prices, salaries, dividends, profits, interest rates and forms of income of any nature whatsoever, shall be frozen at their present figures, as of the date of this directive.
Point Eight. All cases arising from and rules not specifically provided for in this directive, shall be settled and determined by the Unification Board, whose decisions will be final.[1]
