Not going to happen.

Most of the generals left in the military are Obama promoties. All they want is to get their tickets punched, be socially sensitive, and have the biggest love me wall when they retire. Then get a job as a military adviser for MSNBC.

I thought that Bradley in his later years received a 5th star and outlived Ike by a few years.

Omar Bradley received his 5th star in 1950. He died in 1981, outliving Ike by 12 years. He was America's last 5 Star General.

Fox Shows a picture of a soldier shoot at an AP photog. or a warning shot more likely. The AP Photg. is likely Afghan and has Taliban sympathies

"The soldiers were visiting the military academy to help with the buildup of Afghan security forces," Karzai said. He blamed the attack on "enemies who don't want to see Afghanistan have strong institutions."

That's probably 80% of Afghans who are first and foremost tribesmen. Their loyalty is to their tribal leaders, and they don't recognize any authority above them. They may ally themselves with Karzai or the Taliban, but ultimately they won't be ruled by anyone outside their tribe. Most of them had no particular problem with us killing the Taliban. They understand and respect revenge. But we turned them against us when we decided to attempt to build a strong central government. Does anyone really think this is going to work out better than Iraq when we leave?

Had Patton not been killed in the car accident, he would probably have received a 5th star.
