My understanding of it (thanks to a few friends - our system is a tad different) is he can’t be tried in a military court unless he is considered active duty.

Flying a desk is still active duty.

All true however we are dealing with the sorry ass Zero administration.
The veteran in me doesn't think the Army brass will let him get away with it,
He is a DESERTER.
