An American doctor brought back to the US aftercatching the deadly Ebola virus while in Liberia is improving, heath officials have said.

Dr Kent Brantly, 33, is being treated in a special isolation ward in Atlanta and was able to walk with help from an ambulance.

Im thinking that the meaning of ambulance in the U.K. may not match meaning of the word in common use here in the USA.

Bring Out Your Dead

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

The word ambulance is the same in the UK as here in the U.S., as far as I know. That sentence is just awkwardly punctuate. I think the sentence should read:

It was Dr. Tom Frieden, Director of the CDC, who said Dr. Brandtly is improving. I don’t know that the meaning of the word ambulance is relevant.

Best wishes to Dr. Brantly. I’ve never met him, but I have friends connected to the family by marriage. He is a good man. The world needs more good men.

I don't think anyone at FR wishes bad things for the Dr. or the other American that has come down with this virus. Regardless of how this turns out, this was a potentially dumb and dangerous decision to bring them here for treatment.
