Of course they did, try to impeach and then lie that they didn’t.

The motion to refer the articles of impeachment of George W. Bush to the Judiciary Committee was approved 251-166 by a mostly party line vote, with the exception of 24 Republicans, who also voted “yes:”

1.Kevin P. Brady [R-TX]
2.Michael N. Castle
3.Lincoln Diaz-Balart
4.Mario Diaz-Balart [R-FL]
5.David T. Dreier
6.Vito J. Fossella
7.Rodney P. Frelinghuysen [R-NJ]
8.Wayne T. Gilchrest
9.Ralph M. Hall [R-TX]
10.Timothy V. Johnson
11.Walter B. Jones [R-NC]
12.Peter T. King [R-NY]
13.Steven C. LaTourette
14.Frank A. LoBiondo [R-NJ]
15.Donald A. Manzullo
16.Tim Murphy [R-PA]
17.Ronald E. Paul
18.James M. Ramstad
19.David G. Reichert [R-WA]
20.Christopher H. Shays
21.John M. Shimkus [R-IL]
22.Michael R. Turner [R-OH]
23.Heather A. Wilson
24.Frank R. Wolf [R-VA]

It should be noted that the motion, and the vote, was purely political, as they knew the resolution would die in the Judiciary Committee.

Yep I read that, and I must say that one of the Republicans on that list does surprise me, Frank R. Wolf [R-VA].

The rest don't.

This may answer, "what's the point, if it's doomed to failure" meme?

The liberal, progressive, socialist, Soros crowd had no qualms about putting the impeachment attempt on the record.

What did they know that our current eunuch GOP Congress can't figure out?

I’m shocked and appalled if Ralph hall of Texas voted for that. He deserved to lose his seat if he did.
