If you distort, add to, or take away from, God’s word

Agreed! All those are MAJOR sins.

I have to disagree with you about the Law. You call it Mosaic, but it didn't come from Moses, it came from God. Every time the Bible mention's God's Word, it is almost always talking about his Law. Here are some passages regarding God's Word/Law which you call bondage:

Deuteronomy 30:11-16
"11 Surely, this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too hard for you, nor is it too far away. 12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who will go up to heaven for us, and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?” 13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us, and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?” 14 No, the word is very near to you; it is in your mouth and in your heart for you to observe. 15 See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. 16 If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God[b] that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess. "

I John 2:3-6
"Now by this we may be sure that we know him, if we obey his commandments. 4 Whoever says, “I have come to know him,” but does not obey his commandments, is a liar, and in such a person the truth does not exist;

I John 5:3
"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For the love of God is this, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome"

Matthew 5:17-20
"17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one letter,[c] not one stroke of a letter, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore, whoever breaks[d] one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

Romans 3:31
" Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law."

After all, the Lord declares that He does not change:

Malachi 3:6
"For I the Lord do not change..."

He also says this:

Amos 3:7
"Surely the Lord God does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets"

So where is it prophesied that God will rescind or nullify his own Word? On the contrary, we find God's Word being followed even in end times:

Zechariah 14:16-17
" Then all who survive of the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the festival of booths.[e] 17 If any of the families of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain upon them"

So are you saying God is flip-flopping on whether or not we should keep his Word?

Not saying God is a flip-floper. You are correct in saying that Mosaic law came from God. But before we go on with this back and forth, I need you to answer a simple question so that I understand the position from which you are coming. Are part of what is referred to as the HRM? Pretty hard to have an honest debate if there is not full disclosure.

I suppose, but I guess it depends on what is supposedly covered under the umbrella of that term. I always just think of myself as a Messianic Bible believer. I don’t go in for man-made doctrine that doesn’t hold up with Scripture. I don’t go to any specific congregation. Sometimes we go to a home fellowship hosted by a friend, sometimes we visit the local Jewish temple, but most of the time we just do a family Bible study.
