Too bad it’s a toxin and not a living organism, otherwise, just boiling the water would be okay, but a poison can’t be boiled off.

From what I read about that end of Lake Erie, because the Detroit River flows into it along with it’s shallow depth at that end, it’s pretty much a “dead zone”?

Preppers should be able to distill the water for safe use, eh? Distill - yes. However filtration doesn't remove the toxin. Reverse osmosis may possibly work but not sure about that. Guess they won't be making fun of preppers with water stored and on hand (I have 110+ gallons in storage at my home).
