My traveling family is home from their trip to London, Paris, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Germany. They had a day or two of sightseeing and a wonderful time giving concerts at each stop. They were constantly congratulated on their ability and heralded for their short time together before the trip began. Virginia Ambassadors of Music is a statewide high school musical group who meet for 3 days before going on this trip.
They report only negative conversations were heard about Israel and none in support of their actions. Paris riots upset their schedule and caused major bus threats. The police helped them turn and leave the area without bus damage or injury to anyone on the several buses involved in their 177 member group. They did see other protesters and more often observed anti-Israel signs posted on buildings and along the highways.
It did not spoil their trip but was a new way for them to see, and think about, life there.
I will try to stop and bump the thread more often now that the house and plants and animals are not my responsibility each day. I need a rest from their vacation!! LOL
