‘Cruz was the man of the hour though’...wouldn’t not have happened without him working behind the scenes...Jeff just did the mouth work....he jumped on board with Cruz as we all know.

Other way around. Sessions has been the leader on immigration since the defeat of the 2006 Hegel-Martinez amnesty bill.

His Becoming the Party of Work--How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself. should be required reading for all conservatives.

Sorry, but NO.

Senator Sessions has been leading the Senate fight against amnesty since GW Bush was president. He has ALWAYS been a vocal advocate against these comprehensive immigration/amnesty bills both Dems and Pubbies have tried to strong-arm through.

Senator Sessions and his efforts were happening long before Senator Cruz ever got elected to the Senate.

Sessions has been fighting amnesty for a decade now. He was involved back when W was pushing amnesty.

He’s up there with Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter, fighting for this country and being vilified by his party for it. Long before it was cool to do so.

Cruz is fine, but Sessions has been fighting this fight way before Cruz arrived. He is the best there is.
