They’re not saying anything but you know they have the passenger lists of the planes Patrick Sawyer was on as well as the connecting flights they took to cities all over the world.

The Eboli virus is 100% curable.
One needs only ENORMOUS about of IV solution quickly, uniformly and continuously.

Of course those things are NOT readily available in the “bush.” So, in those cases, it’s fatal.

They need to set up medical facilities in Antarctica where humans are sparse and other vectors are nonexistent. Clear out one of those global warming research stations and send them all home.

Am I just ignernt or is the normal operating procedure for this stuff to leave the infected people in quarantine where they are sick? First time I heard of flying infected Ebola patients back home. They are bringing two Americans back to Atlanta to Emory Hospital. I would say the worst idea since the beginning of time.

I have never heard of taking infected people out of a hot zone ever! Why would you bring infected people to a area without infection? Only reason would be to spread Ebola to the rest of the world. Can you say AGENDA 21?

It would appear insanity is pervasive in the West these days.

Quarantine. You drop the medical supplies on the airstrip and leave. If someone goes into the area they don’t come out until the epidemic is certified over. But no, we will have the idiots at the CDC (same geniuses that store vials of deadly diseases in closets) or British National Health (who routinely kill their patients) having people leave the quarantined area after a “visual inspection and questioning”.

Word of bringing patient(s) “home” to USA too.

Why are first-world countries hell-bent on bringing a nightmare disease home? One screwup and it’s a pandemic.

So Cameron is a real fool. I feel bad for the Brits being put in danger by this national leader’s idiocy.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

Why oh why?

This makes no sense. An outbreak of Ebola, even a modest one, would overload just about every hospital system in a Western country.

I have read that they are going to bring back the 2 Americans to Emory University Hospital. Although I admire these two people for making a selfless decision to go to Africa, it is not fair to the medical /nursing staff at Emory to risk their lives because these two people made this decision to treat Ebola patients. I am a nurse, I would risk my life to treat a disease running through my community. I do protest in being forced by hospital administration to treat an African virus. The nurses and staff at Emory did not get the choice to put their lives at risk. I sincerely hope they walk out. Take these patients to a CDC level 4 bio hazard lab. Hospitals are not set up for this. Leave them in Africa. They made their decision, live by it.
