This is just a symptom of the sickness that takes root when people turn from God and embrace the idea that we are ‘accidents’ of evolution, merely another animal, nothing special.
The argument of ‘Well, chimps are like us and THEY seem to show and enjoy homosexual behavior, so it must be ok’; is just a small step for those to also say ‘Well, male lions kill all the small cubs when they take over a pride, so maybe that is ok too’.
Being nothing more than an accident of evolution, a random occurance of temporarily organized chemicals, it makes sense to them to get all you can now, eliminate any competition to your own pleasures now, because tomorrow you might just wink out of existence forever.
