A sharply divided House approved a Republican plan Wednesday to launch a campaign-season lawsuit against President Barack Obama, accusing him of exceeding the bounds of his constitutional authority. Obama and other Democrats derided the effort as a stunt aimed at tossing political red meat to conservative voters.

The Republican Nominee in 2016 should run vowing to suspend both the individual and employer mandate until obamacare is repeal and replace by congress.
This helps!
Love the headline! You ever hear the media say Democrat-led Senate?
Or worse. That the courts say - since you’re exempt from the law, you have no damages and therefore no standing to bring a lawsuit.
Motion for Summary Judgement approved!
Will he still be in office when this suit is done?
I also don’t recall the Obamacare vote being called sharply divided. I think instead they used words like “historic. “
oh, hooray. yay, they’re finally fighting back...
Don’t it just give you the warm fuzzies all over and make you just wanna pull out your wallet and DONATE money to the R party???
I can’t type what I just called them in my head just now...
I am in the minority here, but I think this is not necessarily a bad thing.
The House has tried, repeatedly, to stop Obamacare via legislation. Obama has, repeatedly, broken the law by not implementing the death panel law equally.
The House that PASSED THAT LAW has standing, it seems to me, has judicial standing to get a court to order an executive branch officer to do their job.
I don’t think that is the ONLY arrow in their quiver, but WHY NOT use the courts? Hell, the DOJ under Eric Holder uses the courts to attack states, businesses, and individuals....so I see nothing inherently wrong with the House doing the same thing.
This is what just happened to Sen. Johnson. He tried to sue and was told he had no standing.
I believe that this executive action by the Obama administration is unlawful and unfair, and that it is only one of many examples of this presidents abuse of his constitutional duty, he said. Unfortunately, those actions will go unchallenged for now, because the district court granted the administrations motion to dismiss based on the legal technicality of standing.
ummm are you sure your not in my head?
what a complete waste of time.. sue him... shesssh..
Rome is burning and they are arguing over using a tea spoon or table spoon to put the fire out.
This will get ruled against because they don’t have standing, since it is not the full congress suing. the power of the purse and impeachment are off the table. Makes you wonder why people even care to vote anymore.
My thoughts exactly.
Here is how CBS/AP covered the Obamacare vote in the house:
Summoned to success by President Barack Obama, the Democratic-controlled Congress approved historic legislation Sunday night extending health care to tens of millions of uninsured Americans and cracking down on insurance company abuses, a climactic chapter in the century-long quest for near universal coverage.
Nice to know that we have a free and unbiased press in this country.

that makes two of us - I, too agree with what they are doing.
Those who put the house down don’t realize what the Republicans have done. They have passed some strong conservative bills only to get them deep-sixed in the senate. I believe if the general public realized, they would give the House better marks - but fail the Senate - down into the Pit!
If the GOP wins, how will the courts enforce their ruling?
If the GOP loses, they will have given the DEMs more fundraising fodder.
I’d like to see an “Obama is a big baby” campaign.
I mean why is he crying about this? He spent millions defending his lack of birth certificate and all those hearings didn’t keep him from “doing his job”. A law suit in no way actually hurts him unless he really did exceed his authority. Then it would just roll back the excesses.
He’s whining like a two-year old who says little Johnny just called him a wimp, no real damage, no real issue, just a kid who got his feelings hurt.
Sick, isn’t it?
The sad thing is that if you mention the bias in news reporting to any moonbat, all they can do is sputter on about FOX NEWS... GAH! FOOOOOOOOOX!
