I would say that if you would have to get the govt involved (IRS? State?), then it’s probably not worth doing.

But, I’ll reaffirm that I would pay a premium price for FR branded swag and still keep my recurring donation going too.

Or, to avoid “selling”, perhaps once a year, provide a limited number of “Gifts For Supporters”. So, for $25, get a key fob; $50, get a t-shirt, $250, get a windbreaker — Limited numbers available, only good while supplies last, get em’ while you can! (allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery so they can be drop-shipped from one of those swag sites like cafe-press).

Just an idea - trying to think of ways to drum up donations.

I like the “gift for a donation” idea. Lots of charities use that idea. The problem again would be workers to track, pack, and ship.
