Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) announced his plan to add the Gang of Eight comprehensive immigration legislation to any border crisis package that House Republicans might pass, a revelation so likely to diminish conservative support for the bill that it suggests hes trying to spike the House package. Deport Obama.. that would be a huge start.
And who here @ FR is surprised by this ?
In Conference is where good bills get rewritten in to bad in a way that the GOP can try to claim it was not their doing.
Good strategy on Harry’s part, much as I hate to say it. The plan is to come up with something awful. In the unlikely event it passes in the last week of a Congressional session, Harry and Barack are happy. If not, they’re happy... Obama will do something outrageous to push the limits of executive action while complaining, “It’s a crisis. Congress didn’t act and went on vacation, so I had to.” The MSM, like the sheep in “Animal Farm,” will pick up the beat... or bleat, as it were.
I used “ass” here in the sense of contrary and ill-mannered for no good reason. But I’ll happily entertain other, more insultingly accurate descriptions!
I've been saying the same thing. Anything to do with the border or immigration that comes out of the House will be stripped in the senate by Reid and that moronic Gang of Eight language substituted. Then we get the disaster of Boehner selecting amnesty mongers for the conference cmte.
Well someone waved a penny in front of reid and he sold his support to them.
Fock the fascist Reid.
