Israel needs to get things done as quickly as possible. At some point the Head Mohammedan of America will cut off Israel's resupply. Russia can help and has offered but it would require a total change of systems in the midst of the battle and that doesn't have very good prospects. Israel needs to CLEAR the Gaza as rapidly as possible with whatever it takes. Israel will be cut off from western aid and will be ravaged by the paynim if Israel doesn't get this done fast enough.

Unconditional or not, doesn’t really matter. Hamas will violate it within 3-4 hours by firing more rockets

"Unconditional" means that the Israelis stop attacking and stop resisting, no conditions. There will be no 3 or 4 hour hiatus with "unconditional ceasfire." Unconditional Ceasefire is a demand to Israel, not to anyone else.
