The Times of Israel is liveblogging events as they unfold through Monday, the 21st day of Operation Protective Edge. Four Israelis were reported killed and several more injured after a mortar round landed near a community outside Gaza, as fighting picked up Monday after a brief Eid al-Fitr holiday respite. Gazans reported several killed in a strike near Gazas largest hospital, but the IDF said a Hamas or other Islamist groups rocket misfire was responsible.
At the same time, diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire chugged along, with the UN Security Council drafting a statement, rejected by Israel as one-sided, calling for a halt in fighting. Forty-three Israeli soldiers, two civilians and a foreign worker have been confirmed killed in three weeks of fighting, while Gazan health officials put the death toll there at over 1,000. Israel says hundreds of those are Hamas fighters.

Jew Hating media wishes the death toll would have been higher..and even then they wouldn’t report it..Israel must destroy Hamas, piece by piece..kill them all those roaches til there is none left
i was watching the news the other day, story about an attack on a gaza hospital. there were people running around complaining about the attacks, and the overwhelming injured, yet everybody in camera range was perfectly clean, and all the children had no apparent injuries, no bleeding, no dirty clothes, nothing. hospital crowded with patients, yet no apparent trauma, perfectly clean, no dirt nothing
funny that.
Can’t help wondering if Israel is approaching an existential moment. I think Israel is going to have to get medieval with somebody to demonstrate its resolve.
They are getting very close to that time.
They’ve fired hundeds of Iron Dome rockets, and their stock is running low. At a certain point they will need to do what the Allies did to stop the V-1 and V-2 rocket attacks - over-run the launch sites and factories. I don’t think that they are more than a week from such a decision point.
