Exactly. And sometimes it takes several times before you want to change a destructive behavior badly enough to really do it. People often try to give up smoking more than once before they succeed (if they ever do). Many Weight Watchers members have joined more than once before they were ready to commit to working the program.
Exactly. You can pray til your knees are bloodied and bruised but if there is one molecule of you who doesn’t want to give it up then you won’t. Goes for any sin.
