How can there be a ban on something that cannot exist?

Maybe lawmakers and the public should phrase this differently, in a way to force these judges to define exactly what they mean when they say “gay marriage.” How can a license be issued to engage in something that does not exist, when no one even knows what it is?

This is the New Enlightened World, right is wrong, wrong is right, up is down, down is up. I, personally, don’t like it. And if I interphet the Word of God correctly, neither does He. I do not have much time left to be in it and sooner or later God will show His disapproval and rectify the situation.

Because to the state in the modern era, marriage is simply whatever judges, pols, or the voting majority thinks it is at any one time. That’s all it ever was or can be to the state, it only worked as long as it did because there were sane people deciding the state’s definition of marriage. For many the first impossibility was civil divorce and remarriage, then for many more easy and repeated civil divorce and remarriage, and now finally ‘gay marriage.’
