A key House panel voted on Thursday to authorize Speaker John Boehner to sue President Barack Obama for failing to faithfully implement Obamacare.

The House Rules Committee vote was 7 in favor, 4 against. All the Republicans voted for it; all the Democrats voted against it. It brings the resolution closer to full House vote, expected next week before Congress adjourns for a five-week summer recess.

oday is critical. Moments ago, Republicans voted to advance the lawsuit against President Obama to the House floor. Now, all eyes are on you -- our best supporters.

Please. Congress is already atrophied by Harry Reid, the cowardice of the House, and the combined age of people who have been serving for DECADES. Then, there’s the corruption.

All the Republicans voted for it; all the Democrats voted against it.

Boy talk about polarization of our country. The culture war intensifies. The Left loves warring factions.

Let's hope a positive 2014 result pushes further into Impeachment Land.

Waste of time. They don't have standing as they have other means to check the presidents power grabs. Specifically, the purse and the political option of impeachment.

Grow a sack Boehner.

GOOD!

Then they can’t do any damage until we get some Conservatives in there after the election

I say go for it - any and every action taken to slow down Obama’s march to socialism should be on the table.

Once the suit is pitched by a judge, they will look even more stupid.

What exactly will suing Obama do? He ignores both congress and the judiciary!

It is a waste of time and Boehner knows it. If he doesn’t he is even more stupid than he is drunk and that is hard ot believe.

In the bigger picture, the decision to "sue" is a decision to abdicate the power of the legislative branch of government to the judiciary branch. Instead of being co-equal, the People's House is subjugating itself to another branch's authority. The legislature has two very simple and empowered paths to choose from : "defund" or "impeach". Instead of wasting our time and your authority with this nonsense, House, GROW A SPINE OR SOME BALLS AND EITHER DEFUND OR IMPEACH.

This lawsuit ought to and probably will be laughed out of court.

By the time this suit finally reaches the Supreme Court, Obama's term will be over and the Supremes will rule it moot. It's a complete waste of time. Use the Constitution, John. Defund or impeach.

It really is a sight to behold isn't it. The utter destruction of our Constitutional Republic and the reemergence of a King lording over his subjects = just like the England that we left. The House is gutless and spineless and refuse to IMPEACH or DEFUND = totally impotent. The Senate turns over it's duties to the King and do whatever he tells them to do. I dare say Robert Byrd is turning over in his grave. Wonder if he was buried with his US Constitution in in his vest pocket?

I fail to see how this slows king barry down one iota!! He is marching full speed ahead because he only has two years of transformation ahead - if he even leaves office in Jan 2017.

I heard Levin has launched a suit against the EPA for destroying records. Following the lead of Lois over at the IRS I guess.
