What is this, three crashes in the past couple of weeks over there in that areas. Man, I am glad I quit flying back in the 1990’s.
I suspect islam is involved. Either by choice or ignorance.
“An Air Algerie flight en route to Algiers from Burkina Faso with 116 people aboard disappeared from radar early Thursday over the Sahara, the official Algerian news agency said.
Air navigation services lost track of AH0517 about 50 minutes after takeoff at 0155 GMT, the agency said. That means that it had been missing for hours before the news was made public.”
“Flight AH 5017 had 110 passengers and six crew on board, according to the Spanish airline Swiftair, which owns the plane.
Alex Duval-Smith in Mali said there was “very bad weather” in the area, as well as “armed groups”.”
Sky News understands airlines had been warned in recent days not to fly over Mali.
The plane involved is a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 operated by Swiftair. The plane was asked to change route at 1.38am GMT (2.38am BST) because of a storm in the area.
If the Mooselimb Brothers shot it down would it be Obama’s fault?
Pray America is waking up
How far can those Russian missiles fly?
I love flying.
It’s airports I hate.
And it’s ALL the fault of the muzzies.
That would put them in the area of Bourem in Mali.
UTA Flight 722 was blown out of the sky in 1989 by a bomb in the cargo hold, and wound up abou 800 miles east, in the desert in Niger.
Lybian associated Muslim terrorists in that case... Fighting for control of Congo.
Is this Islam at it’s best?!!
And if it is... has anyone heard from so-called moderate Muslimes that this needs to stop? Don’t hold your breath.
Islam is an evil cult of domination and death.
Gosh!! One plane disappears ok, but two?! If this stays “disappeared”, I say there’s trouble in River City folks.
With a capital “T” if you know what I mean.
Bad month for aviation.
French army spokesman Gilles Jaron says: “Two Mirage 2000 jets based in Africa ... will search an area from its last known location along its probable route.”
"TIMBUKTU, Mali (AP) The photocopies of the manual lay in heaps on the floor, in stacks that scaled one wall, like Xeroxed, stapled handouts for a class.
Except that the students in this case were al-Qaida fighters in Mali. And the manual was a detailed guide, with diagrams and photographs, on how to use a weapon that particularly concerns the United States: A surface-to-air missile capable of taking down a commercial airplane..."
Terrorists worldwide now know they can drop a plane from the sky and get the global community to block all Israeli air travel. This has only started.
The missing flight en route from Burkina Faso to Algiers has crashed, an Algerian aviation official has told the Reuters news agency.
Either Islam is involved, or there are a good number of pilots, crew, and passengers going Galt.
The missing MANPADS of Benghazi fame have spread around the world? News is saying a shoulder-fired “probably” doesn’t have the necessary altitude to hit commercial aircraft, but that is not the same as saying that they definitely do not under any circumstances have that capability. There is always the issue of a plane adjusting its altitude for turbulence, for approach, for other reasons that I don’t know about since I’m not an aviator.
A knowledgeable enemy could assess those reasons and attempt to be in the right place at the right time.
An official with the Mali prime minister’s office has told the AFP news agency that contact with the plane was lost over the north of the country. The region was seized by jihadist groups for several months in 2012 and has remained unstable, despite a French-led offensive to restore stability.

- France: 51
- Burkina Faso: 27
- Lebanon: 8
- Algeria: 6
- Canada: 5
- Germany: 4
- Luxembourg: 2
- Switzerland: 1
