This could tear Obamacare apart as most people could not afford it without the subsidies... It only applies to ones getting Obamacare through the federal government though. The Obamacare set up through the states are unaffected.

Is this the same suit in which subsidies were given to people in states that didn’t set up exchanges...something like that?

If Obamacare is not torn out by the roots and still must be purchased by law, this reduces a lot of people to the level of slaves. Votes have consequences, I have no sympathy, they got what they voted for.

Don’t worry - the Republicans will setup a special session and re-write this portion of the Act to allow for the subsidy.

Think I’m kidding?

The vast majority are not getting subsidies through the States (as only a few States set up exchanges to begin with and of those at least 2 have abandoned them).

So this is very significant ... if it is upheld.

Next step would be a challenge on equal-protection grounds, since the tax is being applied unequally based on state of residence.
