US, UN pushing hard for immediate cease-fire in Gaza [Israel]

“If Hamas really wants a cease-fire, I am sure that we can get to that, but they don’t want one,” Netanyahu tells Sky News Arabic; Arab TV reports say humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza imminent.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in an interview with Sky News Arabic, pointed out that Israel accepted an Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire last week. That proposal called for an immediate end to the violence, followed 48 hours later by negotiations regarding a more lasting agreement. Part of the proposal called for Palestinian Authority security officers, rather than Hamas men, to man the border crossing with Rafah.

In addition to that proposal, Israel – Netanyahu said – also accepted shorter “humanitarian” cease-fires brokered over the last few days first by the UN, and then by the Red Cross. In each case, he said, Hamas violated the cease-fire.

“If Hamas really wants a cease-fire, I am sure that we can get to that,” he said. “But they don’t want one.”

One government official said that while Israel was ready for a cease fire, “Hamas cannot come out of a ceasefire looking like a victor. Israel would be skeptical of any proposal that could be seen as a victory for Hamas.”

Yes, of course the UN is pushing for a cease-fire. Otherwise, Israel may incapacitate Hamas for years, perhaps even forever.
The UN can’t have THAT.

“But they don’t want one.”

They will want one when they actually need one - to re-arm, to re-group, or to re-adjust strategy (to make Israel Dead.).

Israel is not against a cease-fire ... it just has to be one that doesn’t give Hamas “one-up” on Israel ...

Netanyahu: Hamas ‘grotesque’ but there’s hope for truce [Israel]

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said late Monday that “there’s hope” for a ceasefire with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but that he doesn’t know if it will happen under the current conditions.

“There are some in the West who tell us, we support Israel’s right to defend itself… as long as you don’t exercise that right,” the premier declared. “Well what else could we do, what would you do… if 80 percent of your people were in bomb shelters?”

Netanyahu also blamed the terror group for “the cruelest, most grotesque war that I’ve ever seen.”

“There’s one side that is clearly bent on escalation and there’s one side, Israel, that is defending its people as any country would under similar circumstances,” he said in an interview Monday with Fox News.

Netanyahu said that Israel had already accepted an Egyptian ceasefire offer but “in the Middle East it takes two to tango, sometimes three and maybe four,” in an apparent reference to the mediation efforts of Egypt and the Palestinian Authority.

Hamas and the so-called Palestinians have vowed to kill all Israelis...They have said they want to push all Israelis into the sea...
When are people going to realize that Hamas and the so-called Palestinians don’t want a cease-fire...
Israel is only protecting their country...

Simple as that...

Obama LIES!

He just sent the TERRORISTS another $47 BILLION!!!!!

If Hamas needs “humanitarian aid”, let them reprioritize their weapons budget.

US, UN pushing hard for immediate cease-fire in Gaza [Israel]

The regime in Washington certainly doesn't represent ME. I'd bet that if you polled the American people, they'd want Israel to continue until the job was completely done, so to hell with a ceasefire.

Israel give the finger to the UN and especially the US. Bomb the crap out of Gaza and leave it in a dust pile. Remind the US that they are Hamas sympathizer and get the hell out of our way. And to boot, confiscate all the supplies the US sent to Gaza. America has become the crap pile of the world as long as King Obama and his communists Administration is in control.

You know ... Israel has border crossing control where they let through goods ... through the blockade that Israel has around Gaza. And Israel itself lets through its own checkpoints all the humanitarian aid that it deems is legitimately for the Palestinian civilians.

Israel, itself, does not “blockade” humanitarian goods for the Palestinian civilians.
