The Donetsk People's Republic in eastern Ukraine agreed on Monday to declare a ceasefire in clashes with pro-Kiev forces in the radius of 40 kilometers (25 miles) around the crash site of the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, according to a leader of the self-proclaimed state.

“This should help to ensure safe work of experts [at the crash site],” Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Boroday said during a news briefing.

Boroday said a large group of international flight safety experts, including officials from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), is expected to arrive in Donetsk soon. It was also reported that Malaysian aviation experts arrived in Donetsk to investigate the crash.

Earlier in the day, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered the country's regular army to stop all military action against independence supporters within a radius of the 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the site of the Malaysia Airlines plane crash.

There are several reports on Twitter that the cease-fire in Poroshenko's declared "40-mile zone" has already been violated...

Let's see how long this actually lasts, and will the private and Oligarch militias actually honor it?

Separatists Have ‘Full Control’ Over MH 17 Crash Site, Says Malaysian Minister

The Malaysian government expressed concern today that the crash site of Malaysia Airlines flight MH 17 is “now under the full control of separatist groups.”

A Malaysian team of 133 officials and experts arrived in Kiev on Saturday morning to investigate the MH 17 crash site but they have been unable to get to the area to recover victims’ remains and retrieve the aircraft’s black boxes, the Malaysian government said in a statement released today.

According to the statement, armed rebels have prevented the Malaysian recovery and investigation team from getting to the wreckage of MH 17.

The Ukrainian government says it is unable to guarantee the safety of international investigators in and around the site.

“Malaysia is very concerned that the sanctity of the crash site has been severely compromised,” the statement read.

You what’s a violation?

Russians attacking a sovereign nation, and taking it over.

Russian’s shooting down civilian airliners.

Not letting investigators into the site.

I’ll wait while you decry those violations........I’m hearing crickets.

Not that they will show anything important.

We already know who, and what, brought the plane down.

You do know that investigators will be able to tell if they have been tampered with and they have only been in the hands of Borodai’s buddies.

Not that they have anything of real value to tell us but when you have so little respect for the lives and property of others it speaks volumes.

The Donetsk People's Republic

So that is what they call themselves. They are Communists and are advertising that fact, at least to socialists.

Look at the strain on Borodai’s face — he knows he’s in trouble.
