Absolute and total propaganda. 85% of kidney stones are a mineral named calcium oxalate. Excess oxalate is excreted by people who have genetic metabolic errors that don’t allow them to process it if they eat foods rich in oxalate. The oxalate binds with calcium being excreted in the kidneys and is not water soluble. Hence, it forms little stones that get larger and larger until they become the most painful thing that the “stoner” has ever experienced.

Now how can this be related to global warming? Oh, I forgot, EVERYTHING is related to global warming!

calcium oxalate

Rhubarb is rich in oxalates....the overabundance of oxalic acid in the leaves make them poisonous to most critters.

Another kidney stone source is calcium phosphate. The calcium is a "good guy" and comes from a variety of foods, especially dark green veggies (NOT including iceberg lettuce, which is free of most nutrients). But if you use a lot of dairy products and a lot of carbonated soft drinks, the phosphoric acid from the carbonated beverage combines with the excess calcium to form the nearly-insoluble calcium phosphate (looks like boiler scale) and it can precipitate out in your urine as a stone.

It happened to a close friend (he consumed a lot of milk and Pepsi colas). He had symptoms that match those of acute appendicitis and I rushed him to a hospital emergency room where they discovered and treated his passing kidney stone.

This was in the 60's and the they used to remove it gives me chills. Any male who's ever had a urinal catheter inserted would know.

Lots of “red flags” or “false flags” in this article.

Why use “Celsius” instead of Farenheit, since Scientific American is an American publication?

No mention of the race of those patients in the studies, esp. since many of the major cities have a majority black population, often with bad eating/drinking habits.

A ‘climate change’ of 2-4 Degrees Celsius per year? Did I read this right? Pure leftist bullshit.

We need to know who was studied, what were their eating/drinking habits, any genetic factors that might favor kidney stones versus not favoring the formation of kidney stones, whether other major US cities not mentioned were studied or not, and if so, what were the results (Detroit, Baltimore, Cleveland, St. Louis, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, etc).

Something or someone might be “stoned” re this story. More research and grants needed to blame everything on “climate change”.
