The same sort of thing happened at Adidas (named after Adi Dassler)....he and brother Rudolf fell out and Rudolf formed Puma. Now both companies have huge market share in sportswear, footwear, golf, etc.
Actually, to be technically correct, it would be, Adolph Dassler.
