I don’t think Bush invented that big fat lie, but he was quick to spout it on national TV in his first formal address after 9/11.
I always thought they were afraid of the wholesale slaughter of Muslims starting up.
That’s just silly. Was there a wholesale slaughter of Germans or Japanese during WWII? Americans don’t really go in for that stuff. It shows what contempt they have for us that they would even think that.
