While we regular, cash-strapped taxpayers concerned about the well-being of our country stood on the overpasses Saturday protesting the total breakdown of our borders, where were a few of our stalwart conservative spokespeople and politicians? Were they holding anti-illegal immigration signs with we the people on the National Day of Protesting Against Immigration Reform Amnesty and Border Surge?
No. Senator Ted Cruz, Rep Louie Gohmert, Glenn Beck, and Dana Loesch, among others, were in McAllen, Texas meeting with Rio Grande Catholic Charities Director Sr. Norma Pimentel just weeks after her very public visit with Nancy Pelosi. Not to be outdone by the Democrats, photos on The Blaze showed the media stars and politicians preparing food, handing out soccer balls and assisting church groups. Funny how it does not seem to bother them that the rest of us are being forced to pay for transportation, medical care, legal assistance, and housing for the recent surge of illegal aliens coming in droves. Nor do they seem worried about the dangers undocumented illegals pose to the country. If it did, wouldnt they be with rallying with the protesters, instead of, in St. Pauls words, partnering righteousness with lawlessness?
Before the trip, Blaze and Fox News commentator Dana Loesch offered this explanation for her decision to help out at the border even though she is staunchly opposed to illegal immigration. The feisty liberal-turned-conservative sounds positively out of touch with the very people and issues she purports to champion.

Unlike the politicians in Washington, Glenn Beck is using private donations instead of taxpayers money.
Attacking Cruz, Gohmert, Loesch and Beck IMHO serves the interests of the GOP Establishment.....
Are they in any way involved in stirring up the protests over the last weekend to suck people into supporting GOP-E candidates in the elections this fall???? I don’t the answer, but I ask the question....
Is this author related to Beltway Conservative M. Stanton Evans, who mentored Ann Coulter?????
I particularly like this one she retweeted: “@DLoesch @AmericanThinker Do prison doctors help lawbreakers?”
Of course they do, they help citizens who have broken laws in their own country and are making restitution. We have doctors provide for their care because we aren’t barbarians and our citizens have rights and our protections apply to them. The pendulum has swung away from that mission; now we give them sex change operations and limitless appeals.
How dare they? Only High-Profile Liberals are allowed to do that.

Give the kids a meal, and send them home. I think that’s all that Dana has said.
Alot of this attack comes from an ongoing feud between Breitbarts Bannon (who has turned BB into a RINO statist echo chamber)and Glenn Beck’s Blaze...both fighting for a biggest piece of the blogosphere pie.
Reality is, those kids are here now thanks to Obama causing the problem for political gain...the GOPe has been rather useless on the issue because they hope to use the issue for the Chamber of Commerce.
#AmnestySandwiches aren’t the problem...its the political class...the UnipArty that’s victimizing these children and using them.
Catholic Charities is now funded as much by government manipulators, maybe more, as it ever was under its old moniker, Catholic Family Services, funded by well meaning Christians.
Prison doctors are paid by the taxpayer.
Catholic Charities is now funded as much by government manipulators, maybe more, as it ever was under its old moniker, Catholic Family Services, funded by well meaning Christians.
When I saw pics of Beck and Cruz taken this weekend, with the Catholic Charities personnel/volunteers, that’s exactly what came to mind. (I would’ve preferred Sen Cruz distance himself from the govt paid *charities*.)
Similar to the BCFS group....the group that was all set to open the Weslaco resort....for the illegals.
Beck at war with Breitbart News and FoxNews...for not covering his weekend trip to McAllen (at all and/or in a positive light)....and Dana at war with American Thinker (for the same reason).....
Hmmmmmm.....
They are not being sent home and more than a meal is being given. Loesch is making the problem worse. When you reward something, you get more of it.
Ridiculous assertion. Dana hasn’t offered anything more than a meal and a teddy bear..>OMMMMMMGGGGGZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!
Yes you’re so right, those tasty bonus incentives really was the deciding factor. Yep, a ham sandwhich...a Pepsi.. are just so egregiously enticing that the thousands of miles they journeyed to get here after hearing Obama spread the word “amnesty”, those children didn’t wanna come until they heard could their hands on a BLT. All the rape trains, the beatings, the extortions, the body parts being cut off....the threats to the families...NO big deal because you know... Glenn Beck and other charities offered a warm meal and teddy bear. O.o
MMMMM hmmmm got it.
I want to call it tactical Marxism.
“Charities” are beginning to be openly funded by political interests, becoming “slush fund” operations, under the cover of soliciting private donations from the well meaning, used as useful idiots.
At the same time, they steal the moniker of “Baptist” or “Catholic”, in the same manner they successfully lifted from the Catholic Church the ambiguous term “social justice” and use it for nefarious purposes for damaging to capitalism.
Now they are making inroads among the Baptists using them to lift their name, in a pure language shuffle.
Fascinating, the degree of boldness in our face. Desperation.
and the point is?
This is a straw man, one does not equate with the other... unless of course you are trying to equivocate morality to preserving a country’s sovereignty vs. that of giving in to emotion over facts and logic.
Ridiculous response. Running down to the border for photo ops with handpicked illegal aliens "children" to show one's compassion helps no one except the other side, which says this is a humanitarian crisis. The facts show otherwise.
This is an orchestrated, manufactured crisis. Two thirds of the "children" are accompanied by the mother. Most of them are teenagers. Teddy bears, toys, and soccer balls help perpetuate this false narrative.
These "children" are not going home. They are coming here to be reunited with their illegal alien parent. They will be given asylum. And most will not even show up for their court hearing.
Loesch, Beck, et. al. are just reinforcing the false narrative of a humanitarian crisis and that we should welcome these "children" into our communities. Does a pepsi or a ham sandwich really do anything except make those who provide it feel better about themselves? How long will they continue feeding them? Don't you think the BP and DHS are housing and feeding these people?
This is just more grandstanding by some so-called conservatives. They would be better off taking their teddy bears, soccer balls, and ham sandwiches to our inner cities where we have American children in need. It would be a much better photo op and counterpoint to those who rush to aid the illegal aliens while their fellow citizens are in dire need.
I was just reinforcing your point, i.e., We have doctors provide for their care because we arent barbarians and our citizens have rights and our protections apply to them. And the taxpayer pays for these doctors
The prison doctor analogy is a false one in so many ways.
ahh, gotcha, I thought you were disagreeing. Sorry I blew up ;)
Some of her responses sound more like excuses.
Dana Loesch lost my respect when she got in bed with the Mad Mormon. This article is 100% correct.
