Honduras holds 10 Cubans who went to U.S.

Honduras authorities today arrested ten undocumented Cubans who wanted to travel to the United States illegally, a police source said.

None of the Cubans carrying documents , so they were referred to the Bureau of Immigration in this Ocotepeque to define their immigration status in the Central American country.

The Cubans were going to Guatemala to continue to the United States, said the source, who did not say when entered Honduran territory.

According to local authorities, Honduras has become in recent years a transit point for immigrants, especially Cubans who leave their country to go to America, and only this year now totaling more than 800 detainees Caribbean.

They know they have to sneak in because if they step on foot on American soil they will be legally allowed to stay, so Obama would have sent the Coast Guard to use water cannons to keep them out at sea if they came by raft.

I guess they didn’t have the five to twenty five grand to pay the “coyotes”.

Cuba has recently relaxed their laws on allowing citizens come to the US. It’s by no means an open border, but it is now possible to legally come to the US. Not sure why they chose the illegal route.

Yet oddly none of these countries seems at all interested in who passes through from one of the apparently approved countries.
