How would you feel if someone promised to give you a car, and then reneged on that pledge? That’s how all Americans should feel when it comes to ObamaCare -- because Barack Obama’s failed and discredited campaign promise to lower health insurance premiums has cost the average American family an amount equal to the price of many new cars.
During his 2008 campaign, one of then-Senator Obama’s most audacious promises was that his health plan would reduce premiums by $2,500 for the average family. His repeatedly made his pledge on videotape; you can view those promises here. But health insurance premiums have continued to rise -- not just despite ObamaCare, but in many cases because of the law’s new regulations and mandates.
A new analysis by the think-tank America Next, where I serve as honorary chairman, quantifies the massive scope of the broken promise. Compared to 2008 -- the year President Obama was elected -- Americans have faced a cumulative $6,388 per individual, and $18,610 per family, in higher costs because President Obama’s health plan has failed to achieve its promised premium reductions. Overall, that amounts to $1.2 trillion in higher premium costs due to ObamaCare’s failure to deliver.
The administration has put forth all sorts of excuses about why its law hasn’t met the expectations the president himself set. One of them is that the law’s major provisions only took effect in January, so ObamaCare needs more time to achieve savings.

That's a polite way of saying every normal person is now required to pay for the deviant lifestyles of every pervert, philanderer, whore, wino and druggie.

Some have their arrest warrants on them
that they cannot even read, that they present
as IDs. Others have tb and worse.
And it wasn’t done by the end of his first term but they re-elected him anyway.
He either promised for something more than he knew at the time,or promised what he knew not to be true. Either way,it seems to add up to a lie.

Nothing said about making a mistake or wrong calculations or remedies offered on how to fix it. A person with accountability would be embarassed by those promises that have been wildly wrong.
Doesn’t seem to bug him or his butt sucking supporters who offer lame excuses.
Some of us are curious. For whom did you vote in the last election? After the nominations, the only real choice was Obama or Romney. You were the most rabid Romney hater on this forum. Most of us were not happy that we were stuck with Romney, but we faced the choice —— Obama or Romney. So tell us, please, for whom you voted. If it was not Romney, you helped contribute to giving us Obama again. If that is the case, why are you complaining about Obama? You got what you wanted most -— Romney lost. And Obama won. You should be basking in the glory.
This is a very strong, damming article by Gov. Jindal.
But I’m afraid it’s possible impact will be little. Because:
1. nobama doesn’t CARE that your ins premium is skyrocketing.
2. nobama doesn’t CARE that he broke his solemn promise.
3. Whatcha gonna do? Opt out and pay the fine?
Any criticism of Obama is racist. It doesn’t matter that conservatives would oppose a white president doing the same thing.

Of course, crickets. I have had enough of this guy putting out crap about me that is not true. No matter how many times I try to correct the record, he comes up with the same garbage. Many of us were not happy with the nominee. We did not want Romney, but there was little choice in November 2012. We had to cast a vote to stop Obama. He has refused to answer for whom he voted. I have challenged him about all the complaining he does about Obama. If he did not try to stop Obama with his vote, he is part of the problem. Many people decided to sit out the election because they hated Romney. That was their choice. But if that is what they did, they can STFU about Obama. They did nothing to stop him.
