Is clear highway diesel still taxed at around 24 cents a gallon or has it gone up again? I wonder what would become of that Federal tax since I didn't see it mentioned in the article

Not a cent of any highway fuel tax should go to Mass Transit BS, IMHO, and the tax on Diesel should vanish completely since it's really a tax we pay on absolutely everything that hits the retail shelves, not a tax on Diesel fuel other than in name. The Federal tax on Diesel should vanish just like gasoline tax which should be ended completely, not reduced to about 4 cents.
