1.Class rank
2.Strength of academic background
3.SAT Reasoning Test or ACT scores
4.Record of achievements, honors, and awards
5.Special accomplishments, work, and service both in and out of school
6.Essays
7.Special circumstances that put the applicant’s academic achievements into context,
including his or her socioeconomic status, experience in a single parent home, family
responsibilities, experience overcoming adversity, cultural background, race and ethnicity,
the language spoken in the applicant’s home, and other information in the applicant’s file
8.Recommendations (although not required) 9.Competitiveness of the major to which the student applies
Each September, the University informs school districts of the rank that will be required to earn
automatic admission to the University in the next application cycle. On September 15, 2012,
the University notified school districts that it will automatically admit students in the top
7 percent of their high school classes to summer/fall 2014 and to spring 2015.
Enforcement of a math competency test would require a statement of how it is an occupational qualification, or in other words a requirement for the position. That’s often enough to effectively screen most something-other-than-merit applicants.
They also go to College Station right after they go to Stanford.

They got nothing to hook with. They’ve been de-horned. And it’s going to take them a long time to grow some horns back now that the SEC is recruiting in Texas. Texas will rue the day they pissed A&M off enough to run them to the SEC. Plus, they still gotta’ get past Baylor in the Little 12.
Where is the Texas Legislature in all this? Why haven't they passed laws eliminating affirmative action and the use of race in admissions? Michigan and Washington (hardly conservative states) have both passed ammendments that prohibit it. What's up with Texas?

A guy who was made watchdog of the UT system found some corruption and he was the one prosecuted and attacked.
