I am not in favor of pit bulls, and stay away from them.
However, the woman probably will be found to be in financial difficulty, living in less than safe places, and wanted a protective dog.
I do sympathize with the parents, but they are the ones at fault.
Somebody owes the owner money and a NEW DOG.
As the parents didn’t choke the dog, the PD should settle with the owner.
YMMV.
I’m sure she wanted protection and not having the freedom to purchase a gun for that, she chose the only thing other than a bat which is also illegal.
However, all dogs need training. ALL dogs!
