Who are the people who’ll support the movement in the future. The emancipation of children is what they’ll call it. Today, a kid’s right to choose their gender is protected. They’re right to assisted suicide is protected in Belgium. It’s only a matter of time before their right to choose who they have sex with will be heralded. Who will oppose it? The people saying “I have nothing against gays, I just don’t want to you in my face about it” oppose pedophilia? Will the people who want to legalize gambling, prostitution, heroine, meth, “gay marriage”, etc take a stand on emancipating children? They probably will, for a while.
To me, the key issue should be, that children are not legally allowed to give consent to sex activity with adults. This is why we have age of consent laws.
We have to maintain these age of consent laws so that there is a line which we do not cross, as we become more and more liberal on homosexuality and other sex related issues.
If liberals start to go after age of consent laws, then that will unfortunately pave the way for completely sexualizing children. Unfortunately, that would be the end of civilization as we know it. How many generations can grow up with completely unfettered sex activity forced on them, and be able to function properly as adults when they grow up???
