The family of a soldier who blame Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for their son's death said Monday they are "furious" he has been returned to active duty while an investigation into his capture by the Taliban continues. "This is another attempt to give credibility to a deserter to protect the decision to free five extremely dangerous Taliban," Sondra Andrews, mother of fallen 2nd Lt. Darryn Andrews, said in a message to NBC News. Her son was killed in eastern Afghanistan in September 2009, and members of his platoon told the family that he was searching for Bergdahl when he was ambushed.
The Pentagon has not linked Bergdahl's abduction to the death of any service members killed in the weeks that followed as the military searched for him. But a number of families firmly believe that if Bergdahl had not left his base, their loved ones would still be alive, and they have branded him a deserter.

Hey, I’m surprised he’s going to active duty - I was sure he’d quit after all this good treatment to be 1 step ahead.
Not being familiar with the Army legal system, my first question would be wouldn't they have to keep him on active duty? If the investigation concludes that he deserves a court martial then he has to be in the Army to do it, right? If they discharged him, and I'm sure his original enlistment ran out years ago, then isn't he out of their jursdiction and can't be tried for any offense he committed?
When everyone around him, all of his platoon members say he deserted, he deserted. Looks like the accusation that the army would accede to Obama’s demands that he be let to get away with it might be coming true so he is not criticized for arranging the deal. Sad, really sad!

The Commander in Chief is writing the entire script. He Bowe will soon visit the White House, be given a Medal and a million in back pay.
He’ll come out as gay and everything will be fine.
Target and General Mills will sponsor the cancelled hometown parade.
He’ll jump Ellen’s couch and be on Dancing with the Stars.
After that he’ll run for US Senator for Massachusetts and win after tossing his medals over the White House fence.
Keith Ellison will swear him in on a koran.
Where is Cindy whatzername? Was it Sheehan? You know, the witch that camped out in front of Bush’s ranch for weeks on end.
You know it’s just pure politics when the other side does something sick and there is no protest from the vitriolic loons that protested every sneeze by the opposition.
That is what I’m thinking. I don’t recall hearing the announcement that he was being returned to active duty. This must have happened last week when everyone was looking at Obama ducking and dodging away from the ever growing illegal central american invasion debacle. If he is put on actual active duty again, I suspect he will be kept away from most other solidiers to prevent him from spreading his radical ideas, and to prevent angry soldiers from beating him up. This is not just going to be forgotten about, the way Obama’s media will do.
Yep, absolutely which is why he refuses to do anything about Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi as well. The guy is hands down an avowed enemy of the United states. How many more examples do Democrats and Republicans require before they do anything about it? We got the ENEMY in the nations highest office, period, end of story, there is absolutely NO argument there. The only question that remains is what is Congress going to do about it? They know damn well what they got in the Oval office and they do absolutely nothing but sit on their hands.

None of that sounds the least bit far-fetched. Not anymore.
The Army runs on regulations and paperwork. EVERY Soldier has to have a Commander. My guess is that they’ll send Bergdahl to a Personnel Control Facility (more of a holding facility and not a stockade) to put him under a Commander until they decide what to do with him.
Obama won’t know what hit him if he tries to ignore a GS-7 demanding all paperwork be complete.
I hear he has a nice pay day coming
Don’t forget that there is a long list of charges that could be brought against Bergdahl. For one, he left his weapon unsecured.
