To have them legally they’d have to change their constitution. If it became known the present government had them the opposition would pull the existing government down. They have their own useful idiots. They’re supposed to rely on the US nuclear umbrella. All this present bullying is because Obama has demonstrated he will not defend our allies. Therefore the bullies are trying to gain advantage and establish their claims that will be unshakable if we ever get another conservative president.
When North Korea sank the Choenan and we responded with a firm “we-deplore” letter that signaled the world they could walk over our allies. It is ironic that Mr. Nobel Peace Prize has started the largest nuclear arms race since the cold war.
If the Japanese decided on Monday to build nukes they’d have one that Friday. The Hello Kitty version would be on the shelves the following week.
