Obama advocacy arm sees fundraising dip

Giving to President Barack Obama’s advocacy arm took a dip in the last three months, according to a fundraising summary Organizing for Action released Friday.

The nonprofit group formed from the remnants of the president’s re-election bid collected almost $3.9 million in April, May and June, down from almost $5.9 million it raised in the first three months of this year. The drop in fundraising comes as the group scaled back its courtship of high-dollar donors and dismissed roughly half of its staff. …
