I remember back when Ukraine wanted Russian troops pulled back from the border. So why are Ukranian troops so close to the border?

Both countries should be at their border defending it. Ukraine has a problem that some of those areas have declared independence, so what are they doing there?

Obvious question. Yes, I believe US troops should be on our southern border. Next obvious question answered before asked: If some of our southern areas are so taken over by people who'd rather be part of another country or independent, they should be allowed to do that.
