Hes busy with fundraisers today and probably bowling or miniature golf or something, but hes going to squeeze in a few brief remarks on why hes not much interested in summarily deporting the hundreds of thousands of illegals who are on their way from Central America.
You ready? The long-awaited tarmac handshake with Perry is already on the books:

>>Yes,a governor can call up his own national guard. But,when it isnt a federal call up,then the Fed doesnt pay their costs (pay, benefits, operational costs,etc)...the state pays. That gets expensive very fast.<<
Well isn’t Perry always talking about how great Texas is doing?
If he doesn’t call them up, then he is failing to hold up his oath of office same as Obama. That goes for the other Governors as well.
I missed the Kelly File & the replay also. What did Sen Ted Cruz have to say.

It can't possibly cost that much to charter a few planes to take them back home. Maybe, along the way, they can be educated a bit about human trafficking, and what is *really* awaiting them at the hands of coyotes if they are allowed to leave the centers where they are now being housed.
I can see Governor Perry trying to get the US government to assume its responsibility. My memory says that about 3 operational division sized elements in the field in Afghanistan has cost billions.
I remember more than a decade ago a division+ at an installation costing about a billion a year, and that was with limited training operations throughout the year. (I’m not talking pay and benefits.) Granted there are no installation costs, but still it would be double that by now. And So, for a year of a highly mobilized force of about 2000 on a 1000 mile border with one man covering one mile and having one replacement every 12 hours, we’re talking about 100-200 million a year in operational cost and another 200 million in salary and benefits costs.
A half billion a year out of state coffers is a big hit for any state. Obama, on the other hand, asks Congress for 3.2(?) billion for handling this ‘border issue’. I assume that’s for a year.
-——It can’t possibly cost that much——
You miscalculated.
You failed to consider that the Democrat party is a criminal enterprise who’s purpose is to loot the treasury. After taking 25% off the top, an additional 40% will be consumed in legal fees during the proceedings and administrative costs for maintenance during the legal wrangling. Democrat apparatchiks will do the administering and legal wrangling.
Bert - you’re seeing the children as one more democrat slush fund? You might be right...

Mexico & Guatemala announce agreement to make illegal passage to U.S. easier
Published:
Wed, Jul 9th 2014 @ 11:27 am EDT
Earlier this week, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Guatemalan president Otto Perez Molina held a joint press conference to formally announce a new program that will allow Guatemalan citizens to legally travel through Mexico in their effort to enter the United States illegally. Guatemala is one of three sending countries accounting for most of the illegal aliens coming across the U.S.-Mexico border during the ongoing surge. The agreement grants Guatemalans 72 hours of legal status while they make their journey to the U.S.
I was unable to attend this call to worship.
IF THE CONGRESS GIVES HIM THIS $4 BILLION I AM DONE WITH NATIONAL ELECTIONS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. IT WILL BE ASSISTED SUICIDE, ASSISTED THAT IS BY THE GELDING OLD PARTY.
And there will be plenty of the Galloping Crud to go around for everyone.
“Once people get those diseases they can be denied treatment by Obamacare! Yippee!!!”
No our vets and wounded warriors will get even less money for their care. The rest of us will have higher deductibles to help pay for the treatment of these poor kids in our health system.
Children with mustaches! They must be taking hormones or sumptin./s
....”I can see Governor Perry trying to get the US government to assume its responsibility”......
Are you kidding! Perry’s been singing that ‘same tune’ for years now.....’the fed gov isn’t doing their job’ as if it’s new news.
Perry’s known for years the gov is not going to call out anyone to protect the border..as it needs to be...and Perry’s shown he will not assume the responsibility either. They all throw more money at it and then funnel it every place but where it would do the job of stopping the illegals.
They don’t close it because they don’t want to...and they don’t enforce the laws already in place because they don’t want to. It’s that simple. None want to spend the money where it matters to the people rather what will continue to let them do just enough to say they’re ‘trying’ ...
....”Perry could stop this thing in less than a week....Put the Texas National Guard on the border, stop illegals from crossing and keep them on the Mexican side of the border for Mexico to deal with”.....
It’s pretty apparent nobody’s going to do more than “talk” about the problem and throw more money at it rather than stop this.
They ALL talk about immigration reform....and blame both parties when in fact they’ve ALL had years to enforce the laws and choose not to...to act and choose not to.
It’s the same old song sung one administration after the other...the real plan is to stall off the American people and give just enough to keep them appeased. That they’ve been successful at doing.
Americans still “on the ride”.....

RESOLUTION NO. 2014-_______
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS TO PROTECT THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND SECURITY OF OUR CITIZENS AND COMMUNITY; AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTERS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT
WHEREAS, the citizens of League City, Texas recognize their duty as law-abiding citizens to act in accordance with the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution, and agree that their right to life, liberty, and property shall not be infringed; and WHEREAS, the federal government has failed to protect the homeland in accordance with Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, Texas has the right and obligation to protect its citizens in accordance with Article 1, Section 1 of the Texas Constitution:
Freedom and Sovereignty of State.
Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the
right of local self- government
unimpaired to all the States.
And is supported by Article 1, Section 29 of the Texas Constitution:
Provisions of Bill of Rights Excepted from Powers of Government; To Forever Remain Inviolate.
To guard against transgressions of the high powers herein designated, we declare that everything in this (Texas) Bill of Rights is excepted out of the general powers of government, and shall forever remain inviolate, and all laws contrary thereto, or to the following provisions, shall be void.
WHEREAS, the citizens of League City Texas are greatly concerned regarding the ongoing massive influx of illegal aliens seeking unauthorized entry to the United States; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that more than 90,000 minors will arrive in the United States during the 2014 fiscal year and an additional 145,000 illegal alien minors in 2015 fiscal year, with most expected to remain in Texas cities and communities; and
WHEREAS, the leaders of League City question the impact that the sudden influx of school-age illegal minors will have on our Independent School Districts (ISD) educational funding, school resources, campus security, and health safety for our children; and
WHEREAS, health advisories report that many illegal aliens suffering from diseases endemic in their countries of origin are being released into our communities; and
WHEREAS, the federal government is actively seeking more locations within Texas towns and counties to accommodate the unprecedented overflow of illegal aliens and unaccompanied minors; and
WHEREAS, the increasing volume of illegal aliens is already bankrupting some cities and counties in the State of Texas by overwhelming the local medical, educational, law enforcement, and judicial systems; and
WHEREAS, members of dangerous transnational criminal organizations and radical Islamic terror groups continue to exploit the situation to infiltrate the United States for the purpose of establishing criminal activity, terror cells, and training operations within our homeland; and
WHEREAS, without a secure border Texas cities and communities cannot protect the health and safety of their citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LEAGUE CITY, TEXAS, as follows:
Section 1. That all agencies of the City of League City are instructed to refuse requests or directives by federal agencies to permit or establish any facility for the purposes of processing, housing, or detaining any illegal aliens, designated as refugee or otherwise.
Section 2. That in order to control the potential threat of communicable diseases reported to be prevalent among illegal aliens, all appropriate agencies of the City of League City are instructed to prudently exercise the Citys police power in any manner necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of League City.
Section 3. We hereby appeal to our state legislators and elected officials for action and accountability to urgently address the continuing influx of illegal aliens across our border.
Through State executive and legislative actions demand that the Federal government provide additional resources for new and/or existing Border Patrol checkpoints, and employ a contiguous physical barrier where strategically prudent.
Demand the Texas State Legislature to enhance state smuggling and human trafficking laws, and provide civil liability protections for Texan land owners against criminal trespassers.
Demand the Texas State Legislature abolishes any and all state-controlled or sponsored magnets that exacerbate the problem of rampant illegal immigration, such as (but not limited to): in-state tuition subsidies, welfare benefits, and free non-emergency health care for illegal aliens.
Require the State to perform a cost/benefit analysis of the illegal alien presence and report that cost to Texas taxpayers and state agencies.
Pass legislation to prohibit sanctuary cities which restrict law enforcement from determining the immigration status of detainees after the commission of a crime within our communities.
Section 4. That civic responsibility demands that community and state leaders begin crisis planning immediately to address the unprecedented wave of foreign minor school age children that could be enrolled in Texas schools this summer; and
Section 5. That the City of League City, State of Texas, calls on other communities and jurisdictions to join with us in this action by passing similar Resolutions.
Section 6. That copies of this Resolution be immediately transmitted to the Governor of the State of Texas; the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Texas legislature; each individual legislator that represents our City in the State of Texas; the Commissioners Court of Galveston County; and the Sheriff of Galveston County.

Section 5. That the City of League City, State of Texas, calls on other communities and jurisdictions to join with us in this action by passing similar Resolutions.
Why not all of us do this. Would this work?
The return of the "children" is not what this money is about. It is about hiring/appointing more (liberal) judges, funding more (liberal) prosecutors, funding a ton of (liberal) public defenders, and funding a pile of (liberal) social workers and ACORN successor groups to help the poor "children". On top of that, any attempt of the Republicans to deny the money because of this scam will be portrayed as heartless and evil and mean, and the lamestream media will dutifully spend hours of "news" time to pound that into the low information voters' heads.
Be ready for several more gambits like this in the next 4 months that follow the same pattern of shamelessly using the LSM to manipulate the LIV into believing that Republicans are evil and that Dems just want to help people while buying the loyalty of liberal activist groups and voting blocs. This is not about the "children" but about November 4, 2014.
