I wonder if Raul will be as happy being laid off, because at $15.00 an hour his school district can only afford half as many janitors as before?

P.S. I started out cleaning bathrooms, too. I , however was not satisfied in doing that for the rest of my life and have worked to acheive more. Perhaps Raul should consider that.

How about Raul gets some credit for working! Lots never get a job. Why should we be angry at Raul for doing a job and getting paid!

The one good thing about working for a school district is that you can always promote to higher paying jobs by just taking the exams. Custodian I can go to Custodian II and on up to maintenance worker, landscaper, and painting.
I’ve seen people retire after being an Cafeteria Worker I for 30 years when there was plenty of tests for Cafeteria Worker II or cafeteria managers.
