As delicious as this appears, it further allows the gun-grabbers to leverage residents (money isn’t generated by government!) against 2A.

Taxes will be increased because the City of Chicago will stand adamantly against RTKBA. Local residents will side WITH the city government to mitigate their tax burden.

Sad, but true. the ultimate alternative is for “real patriots” to avoid City-of-Chicago completely until such time they recognize the full constitutional rights of visitors, 2A not with standing (e.g.; 4A, 5A, 14A, etc.). Btu, the number must be substantial; in the line of reducing vistor-number by ^more than 1MM people^ per season.

Y’all don’t show up, what does Rahm do?

“Taxes will be increased because the City of Chicago will stand adamantly against RTKBA.”

It doesn’t really matter anymore what the City thinks. Most of their ordinances have been slapped down and overruled by the state of Illinois. I think they have a couple restrictions that still stand (assault weapon ban and one on mags over 15 rounds), but otherwise, the city has no say in the matter.

I don’t think Chicago depends a whole lot on tourism.
